Toni Chi, DMD
Dr. Chi is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon. He has practiced in Long Beach for 18 years. His achievements include serving as the president of Harbor Dental Society, and chief for the department of oral maxillofacial surgery at Memorial Medical Center. As an active staff member at St. Mary Medical Center, as well as Long Beach Memorial Medical Center, he is very committed to his work.
At the age of 15, Tony immigrated to the United States with his family from Taiwan. He graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then attended Washington University school of Dentistry and Medicine, meriting a doctor’s degree in dentistry. At Harlem Hospital Center, in New York City, he continued to pursue his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery.
His volunteer experience includes service at Tzu Chi Free Clinic since 1996, and he has performed much outreach to a wide range of rural countries, such as Cambodia, Mexico, and Peru. He enjoys traveling for medical MISSION and he is very passionate about his job because he finds it very gratifying to provide service for those in need, and being able to make a positive impact to people’s lives. In addition, he receives the benefit of enhancing his professional skill, and most importantly, learning about other cultures and having such fascinating experiences.
In his spare time, he likes to practice Tai Chi and Kung Fu, and exercising at the park. Tony likes to spend time with family on vacations and dining at different restaurants.
