Visal Nga was born in Battambang, Cambodia. He and his family fled Cambodia to live in a refugee camp in Thailand from 1984-88. They settled in Stockton, CA after arriving in the United States. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering-Biomedical Option at the University of California, Los Angeles. He went on to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (D.O.) from Touro University – Nevada. Dr. Nga completed his Internal Medicine training at St. Mary Medical Center, Long Beach, where he was chief resident.

In his spare time, Dr. Nga enjoys working out with friends, playing racquetball, honing his fledgling photography skills and exploring the local cuisine. He also enjoys traveling and he has visited over 15 countries since his undergraduate days and he hopes to continue his adventures in the near future.
