Kestutis Kuraitis MD, PhD, FACOG, FACS

Dr Kuraitis immigrated to the U.S. via Australia from refugee camps in Lithuania and Germany. With his family, he settled in a poor ethnic neighborhood in Chicago. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S.Marine Corps as a sergeant and later in the U.S.Navy Reserve Medical Corps as a Commander. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Zoology/Biology from UCLA. Dr Kuraitis then earned a PhD in Experimental Pathology and M.D. from USC Keck School of Medicine. He completed his OB-Gyn speciality training at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and served his last year as Chief Resident. Dr Kuraitis is Board Certified and a fellow of several prestigious professional colleges. He has been in private practice for 35 years and has served many of those years as Chief of Staff of Pioneer Memorial Hospital District.
Dr Kuraitis has been a volunteer with CHPAA since Mission 9. Together with his wife,Santa, is deeply committed to the procurement of medical/surgical equipment for the missions. He is genuinely and passionately committed to helping the cause of the people of Cambodia.
