Cathy Nou Paolim, MBA
Financial Accountant/FP&A
Born into an underserved family in Cambodia before the Khmer Rouge era, Cathy Nou Paolim’s journey is one of resilience, gratitude, and purpose. She and her family survived the atrocities of the killing fields and immigrated to the United States in 1982—an experience that continues to shape her values and fuel her commitment to giving back.
Cathy holds a B.S. in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and an MBA from Azusa Pacific University. She brings over 30 years of leadership experience in finance and accounting across diverse industries, including healthcare, where she supported both clinical and hospital operations.
After joining her first medical mission with CHPAA, Cathy discovered a profound passion for service. The experience inspired her to retire early from her role as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to devote more time and energy to the labor of love that is community service. Today, she proudly serves as Assistant Treasurer of CHPAA, where her financial leadership and strategic insight support the organization’s long-term sustainability and impact.
For Cathy, working with CHPAA is more than a professional commitment—it’s a calling. Witnessing the hope in patients’ eyes and the joy in their smiles fuels her mission. Her philosophy is simple but powerful: impact one life, one family, one community at a time.
