Richard Kong, DDS
Dr. Richard Kong, born and raised in Bellflower, CA, is the third of four brothers. As a second-generation Cambodian American, he deeply understands the challenges many Cambodians faced during the diaspora. Growing up in Paramount, CA, Richard attended Norwalk High School before pursuing a Biochemistry degree at UCLA.
After graduation, he gained experience working in insurance and tutoring before enrolling in the Dental Post-Baccalaureate program at Sacramento State University. Richard then earned his dental degree from UCSF, followed by a one-year residency in Advanced General Dentistry in the Bronx, NY.
Currently practicing in Long Beach, CA, Dr. Kong is passionate about serving his community. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, video games, pickleball, and watching anime. He also actively participates in dental mission trips to Cambodia with CHPAA, driven by his desire to raise awareness about the disparities in oral health among Cambodians.
